Mexican Cabbage Casserole

1 Head cabbage, sliced thinly
1 pound ground turkey
2 cups green salsa (Mrs. Renfro's is our favorite)
1 cup sour cream
4 ounces cream cheese
4 green onions, sliced thin
4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

In a skillet, brown the ground turkey. When it is brown, add the salsa and cook until hot. Mix the cream cheese and the sour cream with the green onions until well combined. Place the cabbage in a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Distribute the ground turkey mixture over the cabbage evenly, then spread the cream cheese/ sour cream mixture over the meat in an even layer. Top with cheese and place in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Serve with extra hot sauce if desired.

Tasty

I enjoyed this and it was a great way to eat cabbage. My daughters were less excited by it. I think finely shredding the cabbage might have improved it. Since I was the only taker I can speak to how tasty it is warmed over too - I will make it again. My girsl are old enough to cook for themselves.
